Who We Are
Charlotte for Choice is a grassroots 501(c)3 organization that advocates for reproductive rights and healthcare including access to abortion services in Charlotte, North Carolina and surrounding areas. We believe that bodily autonomy is a fundamental human right and that reproductive healthcare in all forms should be available and affordable without stigma or shame. We believe in the human rights concept of reproductive justice, which SisterSong defines as “the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities.”
What We Do
We work to protect and expand access to reproductive healthcare by educating the public, organizing rallies, supporting policy change, providing resources for individuals seeking reproductive health services as well as volunteering as clinic escorts and defenders. Key to our mission is to ensure that all people, regardless of their background or financial status, have access to safe and legal reproductive healthcare options.
